TO REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTORS OF THE BOARD,
SENIOR EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENTS MR.
TAKAO TSUCHIYA AND MR. HIROSHI KOMATSU
FROM SUBARU FORESTER MOSCOW CLUB MEMBERS
Dear Sirs,
We are writing to You on behalf of the Russian Subaru Forester Club. We are more than several hundred happy owners of Foresters starting from original MY'98 ones and finishing with brand new MY'07 versions. All of us think this car is one of the best ever, thanks to its unique combination of good off-road abilities with excellent on-road behaviour. And thus it is even more painful for us to see some points that prevent this exellent car from being the ideal one.
We all hope You could answer questions below to give us some info about what to expect in a new Forester model .
1) Do You plan to have a Diesel version? Hope You do, with both transmisson types - automatic and manual, so the question is actually, do You plan to sell Diesel version in Russia?
2) Do You plan to install a more advanced automatic transmission? At least the 5-step one You use for Legacy family?
3) Do you plan to install a better audio system, particulary with MP3 and I-POD support?
4) Do you plan to improve current and perhaps start to install Dual climat-control system?
5) What about back axle problems? The symptoms are at present - a rumble from 120 up to 140 km/h under traction. We all paid attention to this problem after 2000 km since more than 120 km/h vehicles were not accelerated.
6) Steering rod noise/rattle? - At slow driving, when contacting any not smooth obstacles, pieces of asphalt on the road for example, holes on the road are giving a knock on a rudder.
7) Do you think of installing a light in the glove compartment, and a brighter light in the luggage compartment on opening a back door.
8 ) Do you plan to let customers choose whether to have or not a cigarette lighter and an ashtray.
Attempts to solve this problems by contacting Subaru Russia do not succeed in full manner, some parts are being changed according to the warranty obligations, but this takes up to several months, with prohibition of vehicle usage.
Thank You in advance for Your answers.
Your loyal customers.
Russian Subaru Forester Club.
